I.T. Misconceptions

IT people are usually mistaken for technicians. Even my parents and family members mistook me for someone who would only fix computers after I graduate. I even remember my mom asking, "Edi magaayos ka ng computer mo pagkagraduate?". Even when our computer had problems my sister said I should fix it because I am a computer science student. Well now based on what they see me studying, they now know what my ideal profesion would be.

The invention of Hollerith is a big technological advancement. Because people would not know or will be late to know that machines are a big use for businesses. It helped brought the concept of efficiency. Now machines or manufacturers of machines are striving for efficiency because of what Hollerith introduced.

charles babbage was the the one who conceptualized the annalytic engine. Imagine if the annalytic engine was implemented then we could have been more advance by now, technologically speaking. Another point to look at is that people won't adopt the said technology because they don't understand it at that time. I think that our technology today will still be the same because people would not understand what the machine is for or how useful it will be for them.
