charles babbage was the the one who conceptualized the annalytic engine. Imagine if the annalytic engine was implemented then we could have been more advance by now, technologically speaking. Another point to look at is that people won't adopt the said technology because they don't understand it at that time. I think that our technology today will still be the same because people would not understand what the machine is for or how useful it will be for them.
